Gavin's party

We all got together to celebrate Gavin's 2nd birthday and to enjoy a pot luck dinner on Sunday, April 13. The little boys had fun playing together and looking for some Easter treats. David played the piano. The big boys had fun making the ears expand in bunny balloons.

 Soon it was time for a drink, dinner and birthday cake.

Then... more playtime and looking for Daisy the cat (hiding under the bed).

Maple Sap Time

After a warm morning spring skiing on Trail 50, Grant, Grandpa and Barbara dropped in for a visit with the Chelsea boys and Boots. Samuel was excited to show us FIVE pails on trees he had watched Papa tap this morning.

Then we enjoyed a soup and sandwich picnic on the front deck. David got up from his nap to join us.

After lunch it was time to fill the bird feeder. David  checked out the sap pails.

The boys enjoyed a swing and play on the deck with Papa and it was time for the visitors to go home...

Luckily for Grandpa, we spotted a large red-shouldered hawk, not far away,  beside Highway 5.

Hot Dogs Today

Papa brought the Chelsea boys over on Scouts garden products canvassing day. When the canvassers left, we finished off the last hot dogs. David preferred a rice cake.

We had a quiet inside play time: reading, rocking, gaming, finger painting,  and Sam's favourite - running Uncle Grant's train around the track.
