Games and Birding

The Chelsea boys spent this PD Day at 9 Lambert. In the morning it was too cold and wet to start out on our proposed canoe trip on the Jock River. The boys enjoyed playing board games and David spotted some birds at the feeders and made a bird list. When it stopped raining we visited the park, did some birding and checked out a geocache; then we went back to the house for some more games.  Grandpa worked on the Canadian Geographic kids' animal quiz with Sam. After supper Grandpa, Barbara and Grant drove them home.

Spring Visit: Kitchen Renovation

The Chelsea Bowmans have started work on their kitchen. Grandpa, Barbara and Grant arrived with their trailer to help dispose of construction waste.  The adults pushed it up the driveway and then went inside to check out the construction.  It’s looking bright with the one wall removed.  The boys and Grant had good jumps on the trampoline and showed us they can still zoom on their zipwire. Sam showed us where his snow quinsy had been – not much left, but he and Ross now had built a shelter in the woods. Our visit ended with a family walk – a run for Sam and Mama and a bike ride for David.

Easter Get-together

After their sugar bush cabane brunch with Karine’s family, the Bowman boys came to 9 Lambert for the Bowman family Easter Sunday get-together:

• bike and scooter check with Grandpa
• baseball practice on the street (Sam is on a ball team again this year)
• making Easter bunny hummus dip
• Jenga game with raisin boxes
• Easter egg hunt
• Easter dinner
