There were some restrictions on gatherings this Christmas as
omicron was a new COVID spreading in Canada.
Fortunately, Uncle Craig was able to fly from Saskatoon to Ottawa for
Christmas. On Thursday Kirk and family
invited Uncle Grant and him to come and see their new skating rink. The boys were happy and energetic. After
skating, they enjoyed a meal and a game together.

For Maman’s birthday this year the Chelsea boys would join their Major family grandparents, aunt, uncle and cousins for a visit to the Montreal Bidome on the upcoming weekend. Barbara, Grandpa and Grant drove up to Chelsea to wish Karine a Happy Birthday on Wednesday evening. It was beautiful winter night. The boys had a good time playing a game with Uncle Grant and Molly and Misty played around them.

Just 2 weeks after their November PD Day, the boys returned to 9 Lambert on December 3. A fun day again. Molly came too.
It was a cold day. Samuel brought in some wood for a fire. The boys enjoyed playing their usual games and took Molly for a short walk. For lunch by the fire, the boys enjoyed hamburgers grilled by Grandpa and some Kraft Dinner macaroni. After lunch everyone watched Camp Cretaceous (selected by S&D) which included a cast of scary dinosaurs.

Grandpa and Barbara picked the boys up at the Mill at 7:45am.
Papa left for work and the boys visited 9 Lambert for the day. As the photos show we all had a good time
playing games and eating gingerbread ice ream bars. Grandpa was busy with his Christmas baking
and then setting up the Electric Circuits experiment kit that Grant had given
David for his birthday. The boys ended their
stay with a game of Saboteur Plus. Lots
of fun today!

Today, Grandpa and Barbara went birding near Navan with an OFO group. Coincidentally, a young girl from Chelsea, Sophie Ballantine-Anderson, was birding with her mother, as part of the group. Sophie knew David as she had been in his class at Ecole du Grand-Boisé. Kirk and Karine wanted to attend a memorial for a friend of Karine’s father, which was also in Navan. So, Grandpa and Barbara returned to 9 Lambert and Kirk and Karine dropped off Samuel and David on their way to the memorial. The boys enjoyed playing video games with Grant and then took Molly for a walk to the park. They used their scooters and really had fun swinging at the park. Then everyone got together for a lasagna dinner (Sam’s favourite) and ice cream bars.
