Biking and Ball

Monday, June 17, 2019

This Monday was a PD Day so the Bowman boys visited 9 Lambert and, after lunch, had a good bike trip at Parc National Plaisance with Grandpa, Barbara and Grant.  The path was a bit bumpy because of the recent flooding of the Ottawa River but nobody fell.  We had the beautiful wetlands and forest to ourselves. We decided to stop every kilometer to look for birds and play. Lots of fun! At kilometre 5 we turned around and pedaled back to the van for our “supper” sandwiches which we had made together at lunchtime.

At 5pm it was time to drive to Sam’s baseball game at Parc-Sanscartier in Gatineau. Maman and Papa were there and the boys enjoyed some spaghetti with them. In this game our team wore orange shirts as the other team also had red shirts.

Of course, David quickly found a nearby play area and enjoyed the sand.

Ball and Fathers Day

Sunday, June 16, 2019

On Sunday, Grandpa, Barbara and Grant arrived in Chelsea on the way home from the cottage.  David dashed off to the playground and then enjoyed a game on his Leap Pad.  Meanwhile Papa and Sam practiced, ending with a fun game of beach ball. It was Father’s Day so after the practice we had a picnic at the nearby school. Karine treated everyone to pizza and drinks and Barbara served chocolate milk, vegetables and dip and squares. The boys posed with Grandpa and Papa for a “Dad’s” photo.

Sam and Family Play Ball

Wednesday, June 12, 2019

This Wednesday evening we were back at Parc -de-l’Oiseau Bleue in Gatineau.  A beautiful sunscape was above us. We cheered for Sam #18. After the game, three generations of “Bowman boys” enjoyed pitch and catch together. Then it was time to head for home.
