Fun at McDonald's

Feb.17 2014

On Monday at suppertime Grandpa and Barbara joined the Chelsea boys at McDonald's while Maman and Papa went to a meeting nearby. It was FUN for everyone.

Visiting with Craig

Feb.16 2014

Uncle Craig was on training in Ottawa so Papa and boys visited him while Maman was working. David was a little bit better than on Valentine's Day and enjoyed the attention.

The boys watched the action at the winter Olympics.

Grandpa made some egg Mcmuffins for lunch and then the boys helped make some s'mores. Yum!

Grandpa and Grant took Sam to the Jack Pine Trail to feed the oiseaux while David had a rest.   Sam wore his skis.

Grandpa met a couple of his OFNC buddies who were out looking for a Black-backed Woodpecker.  We just saw ordinary woodpeckers at the feeder and Sam was able to hand-feed the Chickadees.

Soon Papa joined us and we all fed the birds.  Grandpa spotted a white-tailed deer near the feeder area, and Sam got real good looks.

Then we all walked around the loop back to the car, while Sam skied.

Uncle Rick came over for a visit too. Soon it was supper time. Smiles from everyone!

Valentine's Day

Feb.16 2014

Little David had a bad cold and a swollen eye - no day care today. Although sick, he was cheerful and enjoyed his playtime with Grant before settling down for a long winter's nap.

David's Day

Feb.9, 2014

David and Boots arrived to spend the day with Grandpa, Barbara and Grant. Their family was going downhill skiing at Calabogie. Karine would try out her snowboard after several years, Kirk would test out his new snowboots and Sam would try "le ski alpin" like he had seen in the Olympics. Meanwhile David had our full attention and we had a good play together,

After awhile we decided to go for a walk and try some sliding. Fun for all.

David walked all the way back home the apartment building on Banner!

After a long nap, David played with Grant and ate an apple (handing the pieces of apple peel to us).

Soon his family returned and we enjoyed supper together.

Sam and Grant had their train time, then some plane time. David concentrated on a stacking toy.

The tired boys were soon ready to head home.
