A Visit

February 29, 2020

On Saturday, the Chelsea Bowmans dropped Boots off on Saturday – they would be going “camping” overnight in a lodge at Lac Phillipe with some friends on Sunday and wouldn’t be home until Monday (the start of the March Break).  The boys made lunch for everyone – lasagna by Sam and some Pillsbury biscuits by David. Barbara asked them if they could find Sam’s owl drawing he had made for Grandpa - it was now hanging up in the house somewhere.  It didn’t take them long to find it in the TV room. Then they played a few games and Boots rested outside in the sun.

Big Truck

February 8, 2020

Papa, Maman and the Bowman boys helped clear out big items from Bruce’s basement… they were going to the dump in a big truck.  The piano had been taken apart and removed by three “Just Junk” professionals the day before on Friday (February 7).  On Saturday the Bowman team, led by Kirk and his friend Chad led the removal of other large items for disposal from the basement.  Everyone pitched in.

On a lunch break, Sam enjoyed opening his birthday present from Aunt Wanda.

It wasn’t long before the truck was full and ready for a trip to the dump.

When the truck returned after its trip to the dump, its final delivery was the phonograph which Chad had agreed to adopt. Sam joined Papa and Chad, sitting in the front seat of the truck and off they went.

Fun in the Snow

February 3, 2020

The boys and Boots spent Monday, a PD Day, at 9 Lambert.  David found a loaf of bread from Val David in our mailbox!

After a bit of inside time they decided they would like to go sliding at the Bruce Pit.  As it was not a PD Day in Ottawa, they would have the big hill to themselves.

They also tried a challenging run near the big hill.

Check out the video:

Then it was back to 9 Lambert for lunch.

Before going home, the boys had fun popping up in the cedars at cousin Bruce’s house.
