Grey Cup Day 2018

Our cousin, Mary Janet, was visiting from Toronto for her annual visit to Ottawa for St. Andrew’s Tea and Bazaar. After her tea, and after a skate at the Meredith Centre Arena for the Chelsea boys and parents, we were all together at 9 Lambert to watch the Grey Cup.  Sam worked on a puzzle and then had a nap.  David worked hard at decorating our Grey Cup player cake. Of course, we were cheering for the Ottawa RedBlacks (they lost to Calgary ☹).  We did enjoy the snacks and our pizza supper together.

Remembrance Day 2018

It was a beautiful cold sunny day.  The Bowman family attended the Remembrance Day Service at the Chelsea Pioneer Cemetery.  They watched the piper play his bagpipes.

Then they moved closer to the speaker to watch the laying of wreaths and see the Chelsea Youth Choir sing. They recognized their neighbour Mia in the choir and were able to say hi after the ceremony. Then they viewed the wreaths.

They hiked over to Le Resto Chelsea for an excellent lunch together.
