Board Games & Birthday at 47

 Friday January 6, 2023

Thursday there was freezing rain, so we did not go out.  We got ready to go, but the ice on the driveway sent us back in to work on Barbara's Christmas puzzle (from Cathy and Bruce).

We had raclette for dinner and celebrated Grant's 51st birthday.

Later Craig downloaded some episodes of 3 Pines for us to enjoy after he returned home.

The next day, Friday afternoon , we all headed up to Chelsea for some board games with Kirk and Karine's family and fun with the animals.  Their friend Ross was over playing with S & D.

Everyone but Bill got going on a game of 7 Wonders (Bill took photos). Karine served some hors d'oeuvres and Barbara offered drinks.

Following the game, we took the dogs for a walk around Pine Loop.

When we got back, Barbara photographed one of the chickens out back.  Kirk put the frozen Frank's dinners we had brought into the oven, and we sat around discussing the 3 Pine shows that Craig gave us.

We all enjoyed our dinner followed by Grant's pineapple cake and the reindeer pancake desserts that the boys had made.

What an enjoyable family time we had!

Craig Bowman Christmas Day

Tuesday, January 3, 2023

Uncle Craig had to return home in Saskatoon as weather cancelled his flight to Ottawa on December 22. Many flights were cancelled across Canada due to very stormy weather. Eventually he got another flight from Saskatoon and arrived in Ottawa late Sunday night January 2, 2023.

The Bowman family had a “Craig” Christmas and New Year celebration together the next evening. Unfortunately, Maman had to work but Papa got off work early and brought the boys and their 2 dogs - Molly and new puppy Max – to 9 Lambert to happily join in the fun.

The family enjoyed opening gifts from Craig and Pamela and from Pamela’s parents, Howard and June.

Everyone enjoyed a Chinese Dinner buffet. Samuel and David created some “reindeer” treats and Grandpa brought out a large tray of homemade Christmas cookies.

MERRY CRAIG CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR TO ALL!
