Fishing with David and Kirk

June 29, 2021

Once again, Grandpa, Barbara and Grant dropped in to see the boys on their way home from the cottage. Sam was having a nap. Karine suggested a walk with Molly to drop in on Papa and David who were fishing nearby on the Gatineau River.  Dav has an amazing cast!

A Quick Visit

June 22, 2021

Grandpa, Barbara and Grant dropped in to see the boys on their way home from the cottage.  Samuel was visiting a friend and Kirk was still at work.  Grandpa enjoyed his Father’s Day gifts – a new fishing lure and some sporty toilet paper.  David tried out one of Maria’s Christmas cookies (a belated gift due to COVID).  Delicious he said. He showed us his drop the water bottle trick – to get it to land upright. Karine suggested a walk with Molly and David, so off we went.  As usual Molly and David gave us an energetic fast walk.  Returning home, we spotted the resident Yellow-bellied Sapsucker on a tree trunk.  Karine got ready to drive David to join Sam at his friend’s house – he took some the box of Christmas cookies to share.

A QUICK HELLO

 June 13, 2021

Once again, Grandpa, Barbara and Grant dropped in to see the Chelsea boys on their way home from the cottage. When they arrived only Misty welcomed them.  Soon the family and Molly arrived after a busy day mountain biking at Mont Ste. Marie.  Molly had followed the bikes so was VERY tired when she got home.  We had a quick visit but Papa ad Samuel had to quickly change and leave for their Chelsea Cardinals baseball team practice.  Spirits were high.

NEW CHICKS

 May 30 and June 2, 2021

Grandpa, Barbara and Grant dropped in to see the Chelsea boys on their way to the cottage. Kirk and the boys explained they now had an electric fence and new cedar tree branches to support the fence, and a large new gate - all to protect their chickens. David was happy to show the first chick which had hatched in their chicken coop.  It was a busy yard! Of course, Molly the dog and Misty the cat enjoyed the action too.

On their way home from the cottage, several new chicks had now hatched from their eggs, so the boys were happy to show them off.   These joined the older young chicks who were growing quickly and the hens/rooster.  It was a sunny afternoon and all seemed happy together.
