John Deere Launch 2014

Today Papa brought the Chelsea boys over to try out Samuel's new John Deere tractor - now charged and ready to go. Boots came too to watch the action. Sam quickly took the driver's seat and learned he had two forward gears and a reverse. Off they went with big smiles.

Right away Sam decided the best route would be go around the house - more fun than the driveway. They needed a little help getting over snow patches...

David decided to come inside and he was soon running from the living room window to the TV room window to watch Sam cruising.

Of course, both boys wanted some train time too.

 A tired David finished his lunch and then Papa drove the boys and Boots back home...

The Polar Express 2014

Bill and Barbara dropped Boots off on their way to the cottage. Samuel really wanted to give us a demo of Santa's gift. He is a VERY happy boy! Santa read his letter and brought him what he asked for, a train with a metal track - and it was the Polar Express - and it had steam - and it had a whistle.

David watched a bit but soon wanted to show Grandpa the piano he got from his cousin Hunter.

We said goodbye and the boys kept playing...

Christmas Day 2014

Bill, Barbara, Grant and Craig waited for the Chelsea boys to arrive so everyone could enjoy the excitement of opening gifts together. Grandpa Bill sliced the turkey so we would be ready for a lunchtime feast.

The Chelsea family posed for a family photo. Soon we were all opening our Christmas stockings.

Everyone agreed we could not wait until after lunch to open the BIG present for Sam. Much excitement as he discovered what it was. Papa soon got to work putting Sam's John Deere tractor together.

A little pause for lunch...

Then time to check out the tractor. It has to be plugged in for 18 hours to work, so the boys could just sit in it and pretend today.

Everyone had fun assembling and trying out David's new BIG crane.

Samuel enjoyed playing Santa and delivering gifts.

David enjoyed looking at the new family calendar with Maman and then playing with Grant.

Very happy boys today!
