Bubbles in the Park

We enjoyed a second picnic in Parc des Cèdres, Aylmer. The Bowman family gathered, first Grandpa, Barbara, Grant and G.Aunt Wanda who toasted the festivities with a glass of sangria.

Papa arrived and then cousins Grant, Valarie and Gavin, followed by Maman, Boots, Samuel and David.

After the boys had a snack they had fun on the play structures while the adults chatted and set up the picnic supper.

Everyone got together for supper. Grandpa cut his raspberry cheesecake and Sam checked out the pizza cookie.

Some of us went to the beach - Papa and Sam had a good swim together. Maman and Sam went again later.

The party ended with bubble guns - the photos speak for themselves! It was a fun way to end our family picnic.

We dropped in to say hello to the Chelsea boys on our way home from the cottage. They were having an amazing time with their friends Stella, Levi and  Ross. Stella and Levi's dad had just arrived home with a tent trailer they had borrowed for a camping trip to Oka. The kids were VERY excited.

As cousin Mary Janet was visiting Ottawa this week we decided to have a family picnic together. To keep the boys busy, we chose Parc des Cèdres near the marina in Aylmer.

Karine was first to arrive with Samuel and David. When we joined them, the boys were happy to show us the playground.

Then we enjoyed our picnic supper together. Mary Janet brought some chocolate "ladybugs" for the boys and some chocolate truffles for the adults.

Barbara and Sam ran up the hill to get some new tugboats for the boys - they wanted to go swimming. As it was a cool evening there was lots of room on the beach and in the water. The older adults watched the action from lawn chairs.

 

When it was time to leave we carried the gear back the cars. The tired boys happily settled into their car seats for a good rest.
