This was the long weekend and the Chelsea Bowmans joined us
at the cottage Friday night for supper. Aunt Cathy, Uncle Bruce and Uncle Rick
also came up. The boys, their parents and Boots camped at the top of the hill.
As usual the boys wanted a fire before bed.
Saturday morning the boys headed down to the cottage from
their tent. We celebrated Kirk and Karine's 5th anniversary. Cathy had some
special Duplo/Lego for the boys so they enjoyed building their new models. Then
Sam helped make the picnic potato salad for the Tims' horseshoe tournament. Of
course, the boys wanted to have some fun in the water too.
At lunch we continued our celebrations. The boys were happy
to show Maman and Papa the card they had made.
Soon it was time to swim/boat/hike/drive over to the Tims
cottage for more fun in water, snacks, a visit to the Brownlee's crooked
playhouse, horseshoes (Grandpa was a winner!), rides in Seb's sportscar,
checking out the fish BBQs, eating a delicious supper, including a birthday
cake for Barbara and Nadine (70 years old!) and Colleen's pizza cookie. The day
ended with sparkler fun.
On Sunday morning, the boys went fishing and played until it
was time to head back home.
