Samuel and David had been at home (no school) since their
March Break due to COVID 19 restrictions. It wasn’t until September 1 that
their school, Grand Boisé, reopened, with special distancing restrictions still
in place. The boys had been learning at home but now would be back in class. David
had been promoted to Grade 2 and Samuel to Grade 5. Papa returned to work at the NAC on the same
day, after a long absence also caused by Canada’s COVID 19 social distancing
rules. Today David was happy he could sit with Samuel on the bus. They
boarded their bus at 7:10am, lunch boxes in hand and school supplies in their
backpacks They were wearing masks. They
would sit together on the bus. Grandpa and Barbara talked to them at the end of
the day when they were back home. They
both had a good day at school and they like their teachers. Sam, however, didn't
like recess - it was just a game of tag in the parking lot. Hopefully everyone will stay well as they adjust
to the new school rules to keep everyone healthy.
