After a long winter with COVID 19 restrictions, our family
was able to have a fun outdoor afternoon at 47 Chemin de la rivière. The snow was melting fast and the sap was
running.
The boys were eager to test out their trampoline again. Maman and Molly joined them for awhile.
Spirits were high.
Meanwhile Papa and Grant tended the woodstove as the maple sap
boiled.
Then Grandpa, Barbara and Grant went for a ski on the
Wakefield train tracks. David, Maman and
Papa and Molly led them to the path descending to the trail. The trail was in
good condition, but was getting thin in patches. Grandpa checked out the bird feeders along the
trail and was happy to see a Common Redpoll.
When they returned, David met them on his bicycle and Maman, Papa and Molly
came too.
Back home, the sap was merrily boiling and David cooked a
hot dog on the fire. Grandpa, Barbara
and Grant headed for home as the bright sun was low in the sky.
