Samuel and David joined Grandpa, Barbara and Grant at 9
Lambert for a sunny PD Day.
Baseball Practice
Early in the morning the Bowman boys practiced pitching and
catching on the street and then headed over to the park ball diamond. Sam had a Chelsea team practice later tonight.
David showed he could play ball too. Sam threw the balls up in the air and then
hit them to Grandpa, the infielder and or to David and Grant, the outfielders. It was hot but that didn’t slow them down.
Creek Hike
The baseball “team” returned to 9 Lambert via the scenic Graham Creek path.
Bird Houses
Sam and David were soon busy on the back deck painting birdhouses – a wren was busy at her nearby birdhouse. They took “paint drying” breaks between colours.
Britannia Park
At lunch time the Bowmans headed off to “Wendy’s”, selected their meals and drove to Britannia Park on the Ottawa River for a picnic. As soon as they finished lunch, they ran to the beach to watch the colourful kite surfers. Then they hiked out on the stony pier. They also discovered some turtles and birds.
Tablets
They returned to 9 Lambert - tablet time – then off to the Mill to meet Papa at 5pm .
