Dinner Together

Today, Kirk, Karine and the boys and Molly went shopping in Ottawa.  They called Grandpa and said they would bring supper so everyone could have some time together.  They arrived with a pork tenderloin which Grandpa barbequed with some hamburgers.  Meanwhile the boys walked Molly around the block and then made birthday cards for Uncle Craig.  They started a lively game of Scrabble.

 

Everyone enjoyed dinner together.  Before they left, Barbara invited the boys to choose one of Papa’s old t-shirts he wore when he was their age – she would donate the others to charity.

PD Day at 2 Schools

Both Samuel and David had PD Days at their schools today. Kirk was planning to take them to his downtown bank to open accounts.  So far so good… but unfortunately the boys had forgotten their money at home. So, Grandpa and Grant drove downtown to pick them up. David enjoyed a game of Double Play Baseball with Grant.  The boys had an early lunch at 9 Lambert and then Grandpa drove Sam to Parc Sanscartier in Gatineau for his school baseball practice. Grandpa then went to a birding group afternoon tea.

Meanwhile David enjoyed scootering to the Banner Road Park and had fun on the new play structures. Then it was time for Barbara to drive him to the Mill to meet Kirk.  But there was an accident on the Parkway, and they were running late. David quickly changed cars and went with Kirk to pick up Sam who had taken the bus to Canadian Tire in Hull.

 

It was a busy day!
