Sunday Snow

November 16, 2014

Today Barbara and Grandpa dropped in to see the Chelsea boys on their way home from the cottage. Hallowe'en was definitely over and winter was in the air. Soon the sleds were out and Barbara and Sam helped Jim and Ross build a leafy snowman. The boys also tried sucking on icicles and discovered new ways to play in the snow. Fun times.

Saturday Breakfast

November 8, 2014

Barbara and Grandpa joined Papa and the boys at the Tulip Valley Restaurant for breakfast. They hiked over with Boots. The boys were in their warm winter gear. Sam tied Boots up outside and we enjoyed a good breakfast together. Then it was time for the boys to hike home - David said "Bye Barbara". It was time for Barbara and Grandpa to get to work at their cottage.

Fishing and Family Dinner

November 1, 2014

On Saturday morning after Hallowe'en , Samuel was watching a fishing show on TV and asked if he could go fishing. Papa checked with Grandpa and learned that the season was still open for several fish, so they planned to meet at the park on Riverside Drive beside the Rideau River. Uncles Grant and Craig and Grandpa met the Chelsea boys and Boots there. Sam soon had his rod in the water. No fish but it was fun anyway.

David checked out the river with Sam but he wasn't really interested in fishing. He liked climbing on the rocks and then exploring the park with Boots.

Everyone came back to 9 Lambert where the boys could have naps. Then they played with Grant's train and enjoyed a DVD of whales and sharks .

Great Uncle Rick and cousin Mary Janet joined us for a family dinner together.

Happy and Unhappy Hallowe'en

October 31, 2014

Uncles Grant and Craig decided to join the Chelsea boys for Hallowe'en. After an early spaghetti supper, it was time for Samuel to get into his pirate costume. He was excited to be a pirate. Craig took photos with new IPhone 6.

Unfortunately David was not excited to be a skunk. The family drove to Wakefield to trick or treat on a special street closed to traffic just for Hallowe'en - Karine got the unhappy David into his costume.

The happy and unhappy boys posed for a photo together.

David got into his stroller and was cheered up by Uncle Grant.

He really cheered up when he realized there was candy at each door.

Both boys were tired but happy when they came back home to check their loot.
