On a cold Sunday the Chelsea Bowmans visited 9 Lambert. Samuel was very excited to see the backhoe at the Craddocks. Then he came inside for a little Christmas Santa time. David was happy kicking and watching Santa. Soon it was time for Kirk, Karine and David to go shopping. Sam started to cry but quickly stopped when Grandpa suggested a trip to feed the birds. David jingled good bye and off we all went.
Sam seemed to remember feeding the chickadees at Jack Pine last winter. This time we went to the Lime Kiln trail off Moodie Dr. As soon as we parked the chickadees arrived. It wasn't long before he was happily calling, " les oiseaux mangent les graines!". Although it was very cold, Sam kept looking for more birds. Grandpa went off on his own to bird and was very happy to find a Black-backed Woodpecker.
Back at the house we all warmed up by the fire. After supper, it was time to head for home.
