PD Day at 9 Lambert

 Friday, October 1, 2021

The Bowman boys had a PD Day today, so Barbara and Grandpa picked them up at Maman’s “CORE” physiotherapy workplace early in the morning.  As soon as they arrived at 9 Lambert, the boys checked out a new fishing puzzle Grandpa had received on his birthday.  They sorted out some pieces and then decided to move down to the basement where they got busy playing hockey and then the Amerzone video game.

Mid-morning Barbara suggested a hike to check out the construction work down the street.  The boys were very observant and enjoyed watching the busy activity of digging a new deeper creek bed, relocating and enlarging the stream that runs through the community and eventually down to the Ottawa River.  David stood beside one of the pipes and noted it was taller than he was.

Then we all returned home and set out for a picnic lunch at Shirley’s Bay Park.  We found a picnic table in the covered pavilion. After lunch the boys and Grant enjoyed running along/exploring the waterfront and making a seaweed trail. Grandpa showed the boys how to use his telescope and Sam spotted a far away eagle. We had a short hike looking for wildlife.

It wasn’t long after we got back to Lambert Dr. that Maman arrived and it was time for Sam and David to go home.
