It was a perfect weekend for cottage life - swimming,
fishing, ice cream making, frog hunting, kayaking, boating and cooking hot dogs
over the fire.

More Exploration in Quebec City
After our usual hearty breakfast, we
decided to explore the St-Laurent waterfront before boarding our VIA train
after lunch. Loaded with backpacks – Sam was wearing his new train backpack –
we set out.
Day of Adventure in Quebec City
We happily started our big day in Quebec City with
coffee and some snacks in our gite kitchen. Then the Bowman clan hiked to Hotel
Ste-Anne for an amazing BIG breakfast.
Papa and Maman had decided to take a trip
to the aquarium. Grandpa joined them. Papa decided the best way to get there
was a half hour trip on the bus. He checked out the schedule and off they went.
The aquarium is beside our train bridge to Levis .

ü pavilion –jelly fish, sea horses and sting rays – Sam touched a sting ray!
Back together on the bus…
There was still time to join the other
Bowmans (they had been exploring historical sites) for a hike around town, a
birthday dinner together at Hotel Ste-Anne (had a children’s menu), a walk past
some artisan stalls and finally, a birthday cake to celebrate with Uncle Craig.
