October 29-30,
2016
It was Hallowe'en weekend. On Saturday we picked up the boys
to get Beaver vests and hats for Sam and Ross at the Scout shop. We also stopped
at Metro to buy some baby food for the Food Bank as this was for admission to
the Ottawa "Trick or Treat
with the Mayor" party later in the afternoon. Then the boys came to 9
Lambert to play with Grant for awhile.
Later in the afternoon, they put on their Hallowe'en costumes
- a wolf and Olaf from "Frozen" - and off we went to the Ottawa
party.
There was a "train" ride and lots of treats and
activities for kids.
We returned the boys home where Sam and Ross showed us their
new Beaver outfits.
David enjoyed showing us all the new electric train he got
for his birthday. Then we had supper together.
That was a busy day! The next day Grandpa and Barbara
returned to check out their repaired log splitter. It worked just fine. The boys have lots of wood to burn this
winter.
