January 26, 2020
January was a big month for Samuel. He had dental surgery to remove an extra
tooth.
Samuel's dentist discovered that his second big tooth could
not emerge because it was blocked by another new tooth in the upper gum - this
was an extra tooth. So, now the extra tooth has been removed and Sam will
have braces for awhile.
In the meantime, he seems to be as active as ever, enjoying
some challenging cross country and downhill skiing. He and David enjoyed Sam’s 10th
birthday party on January 26 with friends at XQuest Archery in Ottawa (good
choice for a bowman!). After their shooting event, they had pizza and birthday
cake. Then the boys came home to build a
fort in the snow with Papa and their friend Ross.
Sam came in for a drink and to open Grant’s present. As it
will take some time to build his new model motor, he decided to put it aside
for another time. He enjoyed showing
Grandpa his other birthday gifts.
Our family enjoyed a birthday dinner together. Thanks for
preparing it Papa!
After supper Sam wanted to test out the new hockey pads Ross
had given him. The boys had good fun skating on Ross’s rink. It was a beautiful
snowy evening.
