It was a
beautiful Sunday - a perfect time to boil sap and make maple syrup. It was also a good time to play in the soft
snow. Barbara, Grandpa and Boots found some pussy willows at Mountainview Road
Papa and Maman added some sap to the big pan on the
woodstove and Papa built up the fire to keep the it boiling.
Maman and the boys cooked lunch over their campfire - hot
dogs and waffles with fresh maple syrup for dessert. We also enjoyed Maman's
delicious cabbage-vegetable soup.
After lunch the boys collected some more sap.
Maman and Papa decided to get the trampoline back in action.
Soon Sam and David were jumping and their friends Ross and Levi joined them. It
was a fun day!
