G. Aunt Wanda, Stephanie and Bruce and the K&K Bowmans
joined us at the lake for our annual Horseshoe Tournament. This year our
Horseshoe Tournament started with memorial comments about Glen Brownlee who
died suddenly at the lake on June 19. Terry Tims recollected many highlights of
Glen’s many years with us.
Then the adults started playing horseshoes directed by
Nadine. The kids enjoyed the snacks and had fun playing on the beach and in the
water. Everyone was happy when Glen’s daughter, Barrett, was the horseshoe
winner – her Dad would be proud.
We all appreciated our fresh fish BBQ buffet and pizza
cookie. The kids loved their sparklers.
The next day we enjoyed the beach and water. Grandpa, Grant, Kirk and the boys had good
luck catching brook trout while Karine and Barbara were successful picking
blueberries and raspberries.
