July 29 – August 1 2018
The end of July cottage visit was a good time for Papa and
Maman to celebrate their 7th wedding anniversary at the cottage. The
boys made birthday cards for Barbara. They checked out the nature tree they had
decorated. At lunch we enjoyed a picnic birthday pizza at the beach. After
lunch….fishing, swimming, rafting. Both boys are swimming well without
lifejackets. We boated out to Gladu Island to check on the two young eagles and
to look for baby loons. Then it was time for more fishing and boating… and for
making a chocolate birthday cake… Early the next morning we went for a paddle/kayak
in our creek. Later the boys played a board game on the deck and enjoyed some
sparklers before bed. The next morning they made some cinnamon buns for
breakfast. Busy times!
